The "Velikov" Music and instrumental school participated in the International Folklore Festival "Bosilegrad Singing and Dancing"

During the 27 of July to 2 August, 2018 the town of Bosilegrad (Republic of Serbia, Kraishte region) becomes a Balkan folklore center. 

The reason is the 10th anniversary edition of the International Folklore Festival "Bosilegrad Singing and Dancing". The Festival has be attended nearly 30 folklore groups and ensembles from Serbia, Bulgaria, Macedonia. The "Velikov" Music and instrumental school musicians will participate in Festival this year. There is no edition of the festival without the most hearty participants - the dance groups at the Bosilegrad Culture Center and the Youth Society Mladost - both civic associations of the Bulgarian national minority. 

The festival is held thanks to the financial support of the Municipality of Bosilegrad, supported by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Serbia and the National Council of the Bulgarians in Serbia.

The Chitalishte "Drustar-2012" at the 2018 SIlistra Municipal Spring Festival

An amazing spectacle was presented by the dancers, singers and musicians of the "Drustar-2012" Chitalishte on the stage of the 2018 Silistra Municipal Spring Festival on April 20, 2018.

Enjoyment for the senses and satisfaction with the work done so far - this is the balance of what has been seen. the highest rating we put on the work of Mr Dimitar Djambazov, Mrs Boryana Kyoseva, Mr Plamen Slavov, Mrs Nikolinka Filipova, Mr Veliko Velikov, Ms Eli Ivanova - the choreografers and supervisors of the Chitalishte' groups and formations participating in this year's Festival.

Versinaj.bg: Ilia Dobrev (Bulgaria, Silistra) became champion of Slovenia in ballroom dancing

The dance pair Anna Mesec (Slovenia) & Iliya Dobrev (Bulgaria, Silistra) became champion of the Republic of Slovenia ended there local national championship. 

Second place talented representatives of ballroom dancing is in adults in the category "standard". Bulgarian-Slovenian pair trained in Ljubljana recently successfully participated in the international tournament in Ruse, finishing his career with dignity youth with first place at this first participation in the Bulgarian audience.

Iliya Dobrev and Ana Mesec started dancing together in 2016 (March) as Youth Currently they are registered as a couple in Slovenia. They dance in Youth. Their first competition was in Slovenia - Ljubljana on 2016 (April). So far their best mark is getting into 1 in the WDSF Youth Open Standard (WDSF Open Ruse 2016 in Bulgaria - Ruse on Saturday, 03 December 2016). 
Talented Dobrev  has nearly 100 medals in the lower age group in competitions at home and abroad with his previous partner - Ms Adriana Angelova from Silistra and Ms Ventsislava Bormaliyska from Velingrad. His biggest achievement so far is the semi-finals of the World Cup in Kiev at the end of 2015. The duo Adriana Angelova - Ilia Dobrev was two years in a row the first dozens of The best athletes of Silistra - in 2009 and 2010.
