Chitalishte "Drastar-2012" and Ensemble "Dobrudzha" from Silistra visited Cultural Club "Zhivinitse" in the eponymous Bosnian city

On December 6th, 2014 a group of Ensemble "Dobrudzha" and Chitalishte "Drastar-2012" from Silistra were among the official guests at the celebration of the 35th anniversary of the Cultural Club "Zhivinitse" in the city of Zhivinitse, Tuzla Canton in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Mr Dimitar Dzhambazov - the choreographer of the Ensemble and Mrs Elmira Nikolova - the Chairman of Chitalishte "Drustur-2012" were invited personally by the Director of the Cultural Club - Mr. Enver Sehovich. The special avent was attended by many friends of the organization from the country and abroad.

In the crowded hall of the Municipality of Zhivinitse was held a real folklore show. The stage alternated songs and dances from different parts of the country Bosnia and Herzegovina, performed by talented musicians and dancers of all ages and under the musical accompaniment of the orchestra of the Cultural Club. With their individual musical performances are also presented Zeljko Jurisic, Zyuhdiya Doric, Nermin Mamanovich and others.

The Director of the Cultural Club "Zhivinitse" - Mr Enver Sehovich in an emotional speech, spoke about efforts to preserve and restore the club over the years and welcomes the large numbers attending the concert.Cultural Club "Zhivinitse" has a long tradition of successful work in the field of folklore, which dates back to 1946 the club is developing in several directions - folk dances and music, poetry and drama, and thereby contribute to preserving the traditions of their country. In the period 1946-1970 the club works very actively by conducting a series of concerts, won awards at home and abroad. In the period 1970-1979 followed by a drop in business, then in 1979 a group of enthusiasts from Zhivinitse reopening of drama group and city choir, and group dances. The Cultural Club "Zhivinitse" purpose is to contribute to preserving and promoting the development of the Bosnian cultural heritage and the cultural heritage of the Balkan region. Thanks to this long period of work and various folklore events over the years the club has earned its place on the cultural map of the Balkans.

Nowadays the Cultural club "Zhivinitse" has over 200 members. The Club has three acting ensembles - city, school and preschool. The club organizes many national as well as 6 international folklore festivals. Organization maintains links with similar cultural organizations from neighboring countries of Turkey, Sweden, France, Germany, Croatia, including from Bulgaria.

With Bulgaria at heart: DANCE GROUP KITKA (Vienna)

In 2004 two Bulgarians motivated by the love they shared for Bulgarian folklore, spontaneously decided to organize their own group. Thus was born in Vienna amateur ensemble "Kitka". Although the non-professional group gradually finds its way to the heart and soul of the Bulgarian community in Vienna and its popularity is increasing.
Gradually Ensemble "Kitka" began to celebrate with friends and family traditional Bulgarian celebrations which are always passed in an atmosphere of genuine entysiazam with songs, dances and good mood.
In September 2014, a meeting by chance in Silistra between Mrs Magdalena and Mr Dimitar Djambazov send Dobrudzha's dances at the heart of Vienna. Mr Djambazov was invited by the Association "Bulgarian rhythms" to refer to Dance group "Kitka" several dances from Dobrudzha folklore region. Stay went unnoticed for all and leave sweet memories for lovers of Bulgarian folklore. Both sides stayed with the desire to meet again.

A newly formed foklore group

The newly formed folklore chamber group in May, 2014 named "Drastar" offers partnership in organizing and conducting concerts and events with folklore character. The group consist of 8 person for the purpose of realization of cultural and tourism marketing and promotion of the festival and carnival culture in the community. The group has its own sound system and its own musical and artistic program that includes a presentation of folk dances and customs from all ethnographic regions in Bulgaria.

6th National Festival of Chitalishtes in Byala

From 26 to 29 June 2014 in the city of Byala, region of Varna, held 6th National Festival of Chitalishtes


The festival dates back to 2009 and is an initiative of the Municipality of Byala, Chitaliste "Probuda-1928" and the Tourism Council of the Municipality of Byala. It is designed as a meeting place for Chitalishte community centers across the country and the opportunity to express themselves amateur groups from all genres.


In the days of the festival representative group Chitalishte "Drastar-2012" participated in two meetings of experts and specialists from the Chitalishtes, local government representatives and working in community centers all over the country. The events took place in the halls of the library, and concerts - to the town square, where all visitors, tourists and citizens of Byala had the opportunity to get acquainted with the achievements of the Chitalishtes creative dramatics. At a special exhibition "Made in Bulgaria - centers" were presented souvenirs and objects made from amateur community centers.



Participation in the fair was used to create new contacts and sharing experience in other centers of the country.

April 29 - International Dance Day

Today the "Ballet B2" celebrates the International Dance Day, also known as World Dance Day.
The day was introduced in 1982 by the International Dance Committee of the UNESCO International Theatre Institute. The date was chosen to commemorate the birthday of Jean-Georges Noverre, who was born in 1727, a French dancer and ballet master and a great reformer of dance. Bulgaria also note the date. The decision to set up the day of the ballet is taken in Sofia in 1982.
 
Around the world, there are events on World Dance Day, such as open-door-courses, exhibitions, articles concerning all kinds of dance, dance evenings, street shows, and special performances, etc. On this date the whole world dancing celebrates its professional holiday - theater opera and ballet, modern dance groups, ensembles for contemporary ballet and folk dance and others both professional and amateur artists, dancers who love music and dancing.
 
In Silistra the World Dance Day was noted by Ballet - B2" - part of the Chitalishte "Drastar-2012", with a Dance Mob in the city Danube park and a concert performance for the 20th anniversary of the Ballet "Dreaming". 
 
Congratulations dancers from Ballet B2 and their choreographer Mrs Boryana Kyoseva for their holiday. We wish them health and inspiration for artists to create and scatter beauty!

Spring folklore culture event in Silistra gathered hundreds of fans of folk art on April 27th

The concert was attended by groups and bands from 23 Chitalishtes from Silistra municipality. Thirty-five artistic team had fun attending a traditional spring holiday songs and dances.
Chitalishte "Drastar-2012" was presented by performances of three formations: Ballet "b2" led by Mrs. Boriana Kyoseva, the vocal folk singing group led by Mr. Dimitar Djambazov and two performances of folk dance group with choreographer also Mr Dimitar Djambazov. Among the guests at the concert was Mrs. Elmira Nikolova - the new president of the Chitalishte "Drastar-2012". With applauses was met the performance of a group of the youngest dancers of  Mr. Djambazov aged 6-8 years. It was a demonstration of Mr Djambazov's high level and sustainability of his professionalism.

Mrs. Elmira Nikolova is the new chairman of the Chitalishte "Drastar - 2012"

At a meeting on March 27, 2014, the general meeting board of the Chitalishte "Drastar-2012" elected a new chairman - Mrs Elmira Nikolova. She was a member of the management board so far.
The former president Mr Darin Boev withdrew for personal reasons.  
 
Also on March, 27, the Silistra Municipal Council voted for two important decisions about
Chitalishte "Drastar-2012" according to the Law for Chitaliste's:

# approved to give rights for use of 568 square meters of public building intended for cultural and social activities for a period of 3 years; and

# approved to give rights for use of agricultural land with total area of ​​4,6 ha for a period of ten years;The demands of "Drastar-2012" to the Municipal Council lasted about an year ago.

MARCH 3rd – BULGARIA’s NATIONAL HOLIDAY - LIBERATION DAY

Today Bulgaria marks the 136th anniversary of its Liberation from the five centuries of Ottoman rule, also referred to as the date of the creation of the Third Bulgarian Tsardom. March 3 is a National Holiday for Bulgaria and it was declared as such in 1978. On this day, in 1878, Russia and the Ottoman empire signed a preliminary peace treaty in San Stefano, a small village near Istanbul.
The Peace Treaty of San Stefano puts an end to the Russian – Turkish war and brings Bulgaria back on the political map.

The Silistra Municipal council approved the 2014 annual working programs and subsidies for the chitalishte associations in the region

On January, 30th, 2014, the Silistra Municipal council approved the 2014 annual working programs and subsidies for all the chitalishte’ associations in Silistra region.

Тwo important decisions for the development of Chitalishte's associations during 2014 were taken on January, 30th, 2014 by the Silistra Municipal Council. There was approved the annual working programs for the development of Chitalishte' associations as required by the Law of Chitalishtes. Pursuant to Art. 21, paragraph 1, item 23 of the Law on Local Self-Government and Local Administration in connection with Art. 26a , paragraph 1 of the Law on Chitalishtes, each association submitted its own annual working plan to the Municipality. Based on the proposals of the individual centers the Municipality prepared the annual working program for the development of all of the Chitalishtes.
The next decision concerns the municipal budget - most important tool for making and implementation the local authority policies . In 2014 all the 23 chitalishte' associations in Silistra region will have up to BGN 320 000 (about EUR 160 000) subsidies  in disposal for different community activities. The money come only from the state budget. No any financing from the Municipal budget in 2014. 
The "Drastar-2012" chitalishte received BGN 6400 subsidies for activities in 2014 (about EUR 3 200). The highest the subsidies were distributed to the "Dorostol-1870" Chitalishte from Silistra town (EUR 59 000). The lowest budget were taken for 3 associations - BGN 800 (EUR 400) each.
