April 29 - International Dance Day

Today the "Ballet B2" celebrates the International Dance Day, also known as World Dance Day.
The day was introduced in 1982 by the International Dance Committee of the UNESCO International Theatre Institute. The date was chosen to commemorate the birthday of Jean-Georges Noverre, who was born in 1727, a French dancer and ballet master and a great reformer of dance. Bulgaria also note the date. The decision to set up the day of the ballet is taken in Sofia in 1982.

Around the world, there are events on World Dance Day, such as open-door-courses, exhibitions, articles concerning all kinds of dance, dance evenings, street shows, and special performances, etc. On this date the whole world dancing celebrates its professional holiday - theater opera and ballet, modern dance groups, ensembles for contemporary ballet and folk dance and others both professional and amateur artists, dancers who love music and dancing.

In Silistra the World Dance Day was noted by Ballet - B2" - part of the Chitalishte "Drastar-2012", with a Dance Mob in the city Danube park and a concert performance for the 20th anniversary of the Ballet "Dreaming".

Congratulations dancers from Ballet B2 and their choreographer Mrs Boryana Kyoseva for their holiday. We wish them health and inspiration for artists to create and scatter beauty!
